New Grant Awarded for Research on Parental Capacity Assessments in Child Welfare Cases

Dr. Ravit Alfandari, together with Dr. Shiran Reichenberg and Dr. Shira Rosenberg-Lavi, has been awarded a research grant by the Child and Youth Rights Program (ChYRP) at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem’s Minerva Center for Human Rights.

The grant will support their collaborative research project, titled “Parental capacity assessment by court-appointed experts in child welfare and protection cases and children’s right to equality.” This study will focus on evaluating the processes of court-appointed experts in child protection cases and analyzing the implications for children’s rights to equality within the legal and welfare systems.
