Ravit Zamir

Social Work Leader

Ravit Zamir is the Director of Social Work at Shaare Zedek Medical Center and a senior healthcare executive with over 30 years of experience in social services and hospital-based care. An expert in crisis and trauma intervention, she specializes in the bio-psycho-social model, focusing on the integration of psychosocial care within complex medical systems. She holds a Bachelor’s in Social Work and a Master’s in Public Policy and Administration, both from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

In this project, Ravit serves as the Social Work Leader, providing strategic guidance and clinical leadership. Drawing on her extensive background as a child protective officer and her leadership within the Jerusalem Social Services Department, she ensures the project’s digital tools align with professional social work standards. Her role is central to bridging the gap between hospital operations and municipal social services to improve the identification of at-risk children.

“After decades of working at the intersection of social services and medicine, I’ve seen that the most critical moments for a child often happen in the gaps between systems. This project is about closing those gaps—using data and collaboration to ensure that no child at risk falls through the cracks of a busy hospital environment.”
