Child maltreatment electronic reporting tool

The aim of this project is to promote effective and timely communication between healthcare professionals and social services in cases of identified suspicion of child maltreatment. We are developing an electronic reporting tool to be embedded in hospitals’ ED computerized systems which will facilitate mandatory reporting to social services. The tool is intended to direct healthcare professionals in terms of what information is required for social workers decision making, improve documentation and provide feedback about the report being accepted and who is the responsible social worker.
