Tal Solomonica

Research Team Member

Tal Solomonica is a regional social worker who leads and coordinates the field of domestic violence and sexual assault within the healthcare system in her district. In her role, she develops training programs, implements trauma-informed policies, and leads interdisciplinary collaborations aimed at improving care for individuals affected by domestic and sexual violence. She holds a B.A. and an M.A. in Social Work (Trauma Track), and is currently pursuing a doctorate—all from the University of Haifa. Her research focuses on the intersection of domestic violence, sexual assault, and healthcare, combining academic inquiry with frontline experience.

In this project, Tal contributes a critical policy and practice perspective, analyzing data and ensuring that insights are grounded in real-world social work. Her work helps bridge the gap between research, service delivery, and system-level change.

““Years of frontline work have shown me how much gets lost between policy and practice. This project is a chance to close that gap—by letting the voices from the field guide the data, not the other way around.”
